Vegan baked feta

Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cups of almonds
  • 1 lemon juice
  • ½ cup of water
  • 3 Tsp of olive oil
  • 1 tsp of onion powder
  • 1 tsp of salt


How to make feta
  1. Soak almonds for a few hours in water before the mix
  2. Wash the almonds and blend together with the rest of the ingredients
  3. Place in cheesecloth or cotton cloth for 12h with a colander and a plate under. Better to leave this inside the fridge
  4. After those 12h, grease the mold that you’ll use for the ‘baking’ and get the cheese out of the cloth
  5. Switch on the oven at 180ºC and after a couple minutes place the cheese inside the mold into the oven to be baked
  6. Leave for 30-40 minutes … until the upper part gets gold or cracks
  7. Take out and let it cool
  8. The outside would be hard, but the inner soft
